Island peak climbing

Located in Everest region very popular Island peak 6180m is good choice for adventure lover who want to summit and want to see the best view and the Imja glaciers. The approach trek to the peak is through beuatiful Gokyo valley .With a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, we follow the Dudh Koshi river valley, acclimatise on day in the Sherpa town of Namche Bazzar and head for the pristine Gokyo lake. We enjoy the climb to famous Gokyo Ri which commands one of the finest views of Everest , Cho Oyu and other mountains, cross the Cho La pass, enjoy yet another grand view, and descend to Chukung. From Chukung we start the preparation for Island peak climbing.

An alternative and equally popular approach is first visiting Everest base camp or the Kalapattar and trekking back to Chukung. With Everest base camp and Island peak climbing combined, it is one of the most enjoyable adventure tour in life time.
